Dr. Claire Yuyeon Lee is a pianist and educator holding a Doctor of Musical Arts from Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, where she also earned her Master of Music, following a Bachelor of Music from Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul. A winner of the Carnegie Competition (performed at Weill Recital Hall) and the Richmond Piano Competition, she currently serves as a Staff Pianist at New England Conservatory’s Preparatory School while teaching private piano lessons and developing her own artistic projects. In her teaching, Claire focuses on building students’ concentration and confidence, sharing the reasoning behind musical choices rather than simply instructing, and preparing students for meaningful recital and competition experiences, all within a warm, supportive relationship that helps every student grow.
